Job summary

Freshpet is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead the QA team on the assigned shift, ensuring product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance. You will act as QA decision-maker, manage daily activities, and collaborate with plant management to drive continuous improvement.

The role requires SQF/PCQI and HACCP expertise, leadership experience, and a willingness to work a Monday–Friday schedule with 6pm–6am shifts in a production environment.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Food Science or related field preferred, or 10+ years food/manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years minimum experience in Food Safety/Quality Systems.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Must be SQF Practitioner or certification within three months in position.
• Must be HACCP/PCQI certified or receive certification within three months in the position.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and quality system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maximize product quality and productivity in collaboration with plant management and supervisors.
• Serve as the quality leader for the assigned shift and provide QA team guidance.
• Cover peer PTO and adapt to business needs with a flexible schedule.
