Job summary

Southend Pharmacy, a subsidiary of Allia Health Group, is seeking a Quality Assurance Pharmacist for the night shift in Houston, TX. The role oversees QA systems, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports GMP practices within a 503A compounding setting.

Requirements include a PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy, Texas license, 1–2 years of sterile compounding experience, and knowledge of USP <795>/<797>/<800> and cGMP. Competitive starting salary and full benefits offered; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in sterile compounding, preferably in a 503A pharmacy.
• Strong knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800> and cGMP standards.
• Experience in quality assurance or compliance roles preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA systems aligned with USP <795>, <797>, <800> and state regs.
• Investigate adverse events, product complaints, and perform root cause analysis with CAPAs.
• Audit sterile and non-sterile compounding processes, facilities, equipment, and documentation.
• Review and approve compounding records, batch release documents, and SOPs.
• Oversee deviations and corrective actions; coordinate CAPA implementation.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and qualification of raw materials and components.
• Conduct risk assessments to mitigate quality or compliance issues.
• Coordinate replies to quality-related inspections by agencies.
• Maintain documentation to meet requirements.
• Support change control, validation, and qualification efforts.
