Job description

Overview

The Highlands is seeking a Full Time or Part Time, year-round Night Public Space Attendant 3:30p-Midnight shift, with high standards and a great work ethic to join our team. Public Space Attendants require self-motivation, the ability to work with little supervision, excellent organizational skills, and the characteristics of a team player. As our new Public Space Attendant, you will be responsible for responding to guest requests for additional supplies, and cleaning and stocking various public spaces within the resort. In addition to a starting wage of $17.50 per hour, working at a beautiful ski and golf resort comes with many additional perks!

Responsibilities

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position.

  • Obtain a list of areas that need to be cleaned immediately and a list of prospective spaces to monitor to prepare work assignments.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  • Clean all outdoor patio areas and furniture.
  • Ensure cleaning checklist for the area is complete and inspect work to meet standards of cleanliness.
  • Restock storage closets.
  • Respond to Guest requests for additional supplies or information promptly.
  • Keep supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  • Clean, stock, and maintain pool areas, public area bathrooms, hallways, public common areas, ski locker areas, arcades, and elevators.
  • Empty and clean all waste and recycling receptacles and transport waste to dumpsters or appropriate recycling containers.
  • Move furniture, dust furniture, and wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills as needed
  • Comply with our recycling program
  • Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety issues immediately to the supervisor
  • Assist housekeepers and other departments in the completion of their duties as directed by the supervisor

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license (Vacation Homes and Nights Only)
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to perform all aspects of custodial duties, including bending, stooping, and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must be at least 16 years old
