Job summary

UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center is seeking a Public Safety Officer for full-time night shifts (6pm–6am) with rotating weekends. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, CPI certification within 6 months, and Basic Security Officer Certification through IAHSS within 6 months.

Must have strong communication skills and basic computer literacy. The incumbent will contribute to a safe hospital environment, perform security checks, respond to security breaches, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Public interactions work experience required; healthcare security preferred.
• CPI certification within 6 months and IA HSS Basic Security Officer Certification within 6 months.
• Driver's license required; driving history reviewed for corporate vehicle use.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure environment at UVA Health Culpeper locations.
• Respond to calls for service and manage reporting via radio/telephone; enforce policies including parking.
• Operate patrol vehicles safely and in accordance with department procedures.
