Job summary

Cincinnati Museum Center in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Public Safety Officer for 3rd shift to safeguard our museum complex. You will patrol inside the buildings and grounds, monitor video surveillance, respond to emergencies, assist in evacuations, and maintain a safe, hospitable environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, two years of security or related experience, ability to pass a background check, 18+ with a valid driver’s license, CPR/AED/First Aid

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in security or a related field (law enforcement, fire, military, EMS).
• Must pass a background check.
• Be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and safe driving history.
• Be CPR, AED, and First Aid certified, or willing to become certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be comfortable with personal computers and standard software such as word processor, database, email, web browsers, and spreadsheet programs.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Ability to prioritize and solve multiple issues simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the 500,000 square foot building and grounds.
• Monitor video surveillance, alarm systems, and access control systems.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies, assist in evacuations.
• Provide basic first aid when needed.
• Generate written reports (accident, injury logs, daily activity logs).
• Coordinate with staff via telephone, walkie-talkie, and radio.
• Maintain key logs, badge and key access.
• Work with staff to ensure safe egress during emergencies.
• Other security and safety duties as assigned.
