Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Protective Services Officer to provide internal and external safety for our facilities. You will respond to calls, escort patients and staff, and participate in investigations as needed.

You will work 8pm-4am for 16 hours per week, with training and certifications including BLS and TASER. Collaboration with clinical teams and local law enforcement is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification required within 6 months of hire.
• RSFH/SLED licensure requirements for armed role within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Protect patients, visitors and employees through escorts, patrols and hazard mitigation.
• Deter criminal activity via routine patrols of hospital property including parking areas.
• Enforce parking, visitation, drug, and tobacco policies.
• Monitor CCTV to identify escalating situations requiring response.
• Intervene in confrontations and document all duties and incidents.
