Brown University Health seeks a Psychiatric Technician for the Behavioral Health Unit in Newport, RI. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and support a safe, therapeutic milieu for adults.

Responsibilities include treatment planning collaboration, documentation, supervision of daily activities, and managing challenging behaviors while upholding patient privacy and safety.

Formación

• Baccalaureate in Psychology or CNA license and CPR certification.
• Current Brown University Health Crisis Management certification or current enrollment.
• Ability to provide care to adults across the lifespan with sensitivity to aging and cultural differences.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in treatment planning with the nurse to develop problem lists and plans.
• Document significant patient/family interactions and monitor patient behavior.
• Maintain safety by supervising rounds, assisting with activities of daily living, and managing behavioral challenges.

Educación

Baccalaureate in Psychology or CNA license
