Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a registered nurse for Full-Time Night shifts in the Emergency Department Behavioral Health Pods. The RN will provide direct patient care, education, crisis intervention, and support to patients and families.

Responsibilities include documenting histories, assisting with diagnostics and treatments, and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team. A current RN license and BLS are required; knowledge of behavioral health care is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients and educate them about medical and mental health conditions.
• Run therapeutic groups and provide crisis intervention.
• Record patient histories, aid diagnostics, administer treatment and medications.
• Educate families on illness management and self-care.
