Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is seeking a Lead Plant Operator for night shift in Hopewell, VA to ensure safe loading and packaging of dry ice products. You will supervise daily operations on the production line, maintain quality standards, and operate forklifts and material handling equipment in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires reliable, hands-on leadership, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate logging of production numbers and inventories, with benefits starting after 30

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, commissions, proportions, and percent.

Responsibilities

• Loading & packaging: daily loading, weighing, and packaging of dry ice products.
• Quality Assurance: inspect finished products for weight, density, and packaging integrity.
• Equipment Operation: operate production machinery and material handling equipment safely.
• Documentation: log production numbers, shipping manifests, and inventory usage.
