Night Production Supervisor

The Night Production Supervisor is responsible for directing shift personnel in the operation of the facility, ensuring the consistent manufacture of finished products that meet all customer volume and quality requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate activities within all process areas to ensure product meets scheduling and quality requirements.
2. Work with Operators to organize and maximize the use of raw materials and rework in production.
3. Monitor physical characteristics hourly; evaluate products for specs, grits, flavor, density, mix abilities, and moisture to ensure quality standards are met.
4. Implement and enforce safety and regulatory programs for safe operation of the facility.
5. Lead and supervise production personnel, establishing education and development programs including SOPs, quality standards, safety, and job expectations.
6. Communicate performance metrics and KPIs to the team daily.
7. Ensure inventory accuracy and complete shift reports on production levels, quality, and inventory, coordinating with the Production Manager.
8. Responsible for nightly production reporting.
9. Collaborate with Process and Production Managers to evaluate and improve production efficiency and equipment capabilities.
10. Assist in developing weekly/monthly production schedules and staffing plans.
11. Maintain and improve sanitation programs; ensure the plant remains clean and orderly.
12. Coordinate equipment repairs and preventative maintenance with Maintenance department.
13. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory policies.
14. Assist with inventory balancing during period-end and year-end closing.

Position Requirements:

• At least 2 years of management experience, preferably in a dairy processing plant.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with computer software applications.
• Previous supervisory experience.
