Job summary

Avient Corporation in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a 3rd Shift Production Operator to set up and run equipment for blending, mixing, and transporting chemicals, while ensuring quality and cost efficiency. You will monitor production, perform routine maintenance, take samples for lab evaluation, and document logs and data reports in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, the ability to read safety rules and procedures, and a readiness to work

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent training and experience.
• Experience in an industrial operations environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or procedures.
• Must have mathematical skills for unit conversions and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, starts and runs all machinery.
• Weighs ingredients to meet recipe specifications and feeds them into machinery.
• Monitors production and equipment for safe, efficient operation.
• Operates machinery to mix, extrude, or handle materials.
• Takes samples for lab evaluation and records batch adjustments if needed.
• Performs machine cleaning and documents work in logs and data reports.
