Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas is seeking a Pouching Assistant (Night Shift) in Hickory, NC. The role supports efficient production and packaging, requires reliable attendance, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Shifts are 12-hour rotating (2-2-3) from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with pay at $19.32 per hour plus a $2.00 night-diff. Training occurs on the day shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays if needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and pack pouches from assigned machines to meet order specifications and quality standards.
• Operate bag machines safely and efficiently.
• Follow all food safety and regulatory requirements.
• Review production orders for accuracy and proper setup.
• Verify sealers are properly closed and functioning.
• Monitor strip rolls for proper placement.
• Record start counts and production data accurately.
• Work with Set-Up team to confirm order accuracy and machine readiness.
• Conduct regular QC checks and complete documentation.
• Build and label boxes with correct counts and order details.
• Seal and move completed boxes according to instructions.
• Complete end-of-order documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate key information during shift transitions.
• Assist with physical inventory counts as directed.
