Job summary

Hilltop Commons Senior Living seeks a Night Porter for the overnight shift, Sunday through Thursday, 11:30 PM–8:00 AM. This is a full-time, on-site position with Ray Stone Inc.

You will work with the Community Administrator to maintain a safe, clean environment, monitor the property, respond to emergencies, and serve as the after-hours contact for residents and staff. Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, at least one year in janitorial or housekeeping, and the ability to lift up to

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency calls via pull cord or pendant system.
• Main after-hours contact for all calls.
• Maintains building exterior cleanliness and upkeep of sidewalks, entrances and outdoor areas.
• Cleans and maintains common areas including kitchen, dining, bathrooms, exercise rooms, library and game room.
• Collects and disposes of trash and recyclables.
• Monitors security through periodic walk-throughs and secures entryways.
• Reads and reports shift log to document issues.

Hilltop Commons Senior Living is seeking a dependable and attentive Night Porter to join our team!

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, on-site position working our overnight (NOC) shift.

Sunday through Thursday, 11:30 PM - 8:00 AM

Job Summary

Working closely with the Community Administrator and on-site team, the Night Porter helps maintain a clean, secure, and well-kept community in accordance with Ray Stone Inc. standards. This role is responsible for monitoring the property during overnight hours, ensuring building security, and serving as the primary point of contact in emergency situations.

The ideal candidate is reliable, observant, and committed to creating a safe and comfortable environment for our residents, guests, and staff.

Job Duties

• Responds to emergency calls, either from pull cord system or through pendant system depending on assigned community.
• Main point of contact for all after hours phone calls.
• Ensures that the building ground are clean and well maintained. Responsible for cleaning and upkeep of sidewalk areas, outside entrances and patio furniture.
• Responsible for the dusting, vacuuming and general cleanliness of common areas in the community; including the kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, exercise rooms, library, and game room.
• Takes all trash and recycle to the appropriate bins or dumpsters.
• Ensures the security of the building by performing periodic walk-throughs, checking that all entry ways are secure.
• Reports in and reads the logbook each shift to ensure accurate communication and documentation of any issues.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• One year of experience in a janitorial or housekeeping position.
• Experience with Seniors preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand; and use hands to handle/lift objects. The employee occasionally must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds. Additionally, the employee, on occasion, must crouch, kneel, or climb stairs. Most work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. This position requires substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Must have the ability to walk short distances.
