We are looking for ambassadors for Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour as Full Time Night Porter. The ambassador should have an eye for detail, a passion for creating magnifique luxury experiences for our guests, and developing a wonderful team.

YOUR PURPOSE:

Job Description

Our Ambassador will:

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Front Office and Housekeeping departments, including greeting guests, assisting with cars, hotel doors, guest luggage, lobby services, and security functions, ensuring that standards are maintained, efficiency is evident, and customer needs are met and exceeded. Assist with arrival and departure procedures and uphold cleanliness standards of hotel outlets.
• Provide quality service to guests by responding to requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously during check-in, check-out, and throughout their stay.
• Maintain control of guest and hotel accounts, ensuring charges are accurate and posted timely.
• Assist with car/hotel door and guest luggage. Ensure timely delivery of all guest luggage. Explain technology and features of guest rooms.
• Exercise care and responsibility when parking guest vehicles, following procedures set out in the manual.
• Ensure messages and faxes are delivered with urgency.
• Manage guest property in storage, long or short term, documenting and caring for it.
• Handle reports of lost property by gathering relevant information and passing it to housekeeping.
• Maintain cleanliness of all hotel areas, including public spaces, lobby, forecourt, outlets, conference spaces, and facilities.
• Use and clean equipment carefully, reporting any defects as per procedures.
• Ensure corridors are free of trays, linen trolleys, or cages.

Qualifications

• Valid Full New Zealand Driver’s Licence
• Clean Driving Record
• Strong presentation and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be proactive
• Previous hotel experience in customer service and/or cleaning is a bonus
