Job summary

Hilltop Commons Senior Living is seeking a dependable and attentive Night Porter for a full-time, on-site overnight role. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM, with duties focused on safety, cleanliness, and resident support.

The Night Porter will monitor the property overnight, handle emergencies, and serve as the primary contact after hours. Ideal candidates are reliable, observant, and able to work independently to maintain a safe community.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year janitorial/housekeeping experience.
• Experience with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency calls via pull cord or pendant system.
• Main point of contact for all after-hours calls.
• Maintains clean exterior areas including sidewalks and entrances.
• Cleans and maintains common areas such as kitchen, dining, bathrooms, and lounges.
• Takes out trash and recyclables to appropriate bins.
• Performs security walks and ensures entryways are secure.
• Logs shift notes and communicates issues to on-site team.

Hilltop Commons Senior Living is seeking a dependable and attentive Night Porter to join our team!

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, on-site position working our overnight (NOC) shift.

Sunday through Thursday, 11:30 PM - 8:00 AM

Job Summary

Working closely with the Community Administrator and on-site team, the Night Porter helps maintain a clean, secure, and well-kept community in accordance with Ray Stone Inc. standards. This role is responsible for monitoring the property during overnight hours, ensuring building security, and serving as the primary point of contact in emergency situations.

The ideal candidate is reliable, observant, and committed to creating a safe and comfortable environment for our residents, guests, and staff.

Job Duties

• Responds to emergency calls, either from pull cord system or through pendant system depending on assigned community.
• Main point of contact for all after hours phone calls.
• Ensures that the building ground are clean and well maintained. Responsible for cleaning and upkeep of sidewalk areas, outside entrances and patio furniture.
• Responsible for the dusting, vacuuming and general cleanliness of common areas in the community; including the kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, exercise rooms, library, and game room.
• Takes all trash and recycle to the appropriate bins or dumpsters.
• Ensures the security of the building by performing periodic walk-throughs, checking that all entry ways are secure.
• Reports in and reads the logbook each shift to ensure accurate communication and documentation of any issues.
