Job summary

Banner Payson Medical Center Sleep Disorders Center is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist for the night shift. You will independently perform diagnostic sleep monitoring studies and home sleep tests, analyze records, and support clinicians in diagnosis and care.

Provides department support, mentors staff, and helps shape policies. Requires 3 years of sleep testing experience, registry or NBRC RRT with BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Registry by Polysomnographic Technologists or NBRC as an RRT; BLS required.
• Must have 3 years of sleep disorders testing experience.
• Proficient in sleep testing equipment and EEG concepts.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform prescribed diagnostic sleep monitoring studies.
• Analyze sleep records and identify sleep stages.
• Ensure quality recordings and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Collect medical and medication history for prescribed studies.
• Assist with department policies, procedures and staff training.
• Lead educational in-services and case presentations.
• Maintain QA standards per regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a department resource for internal and external stakeholders.
