Job summary

Peak Vascular Access is seeking an experienced Vascular Access Nurse (PICC RN) for a PRN, flexible schedule role. The remote/mobile position requires ultrasound-guided PICC line insertion, IV therapy, and close collaboration with physicians and nurses to ensure safe patient care.

This role involves travel between locations with mileage reimbursement, ongoing education, and opportunities to advance. Active RN license in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the U.S.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with vascular access, infusion therapy, or critical care.
• Proficient in ultrasound-guided PICC line insertion.
• VA-BC certification is highly desirable.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound-guided insertion, maintenance, and removal of PICC lines, midline catheters, and peripheral IVs.
• Ensure accurate catheter placement following best practices and infection control.
• Assess and monitor vascular access sites to prevent complications.
• Administer and manage IV therapies, medications, and fluids as prescribed.
• Educate patients on PICC line care and infection prevention.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
