Job summary

Laboratory Sciences of Arizona (Sonora Quest Laboratories) seeks a Phlebotomist to perform specimen collection, processing, and preliminary testing across hospital, PSC, IOP, or mobile sites. You will ensure proper patient identification, sample integrity, and accurate data entry while upholding quality and regulatory standards.

The role requires phlebotomy training or experience, state certification, and flexibility for travel between locations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification as defined by state regulations.
• DHS Fingerprinting Certification or ability to obtain fingerprint certification.
• Depending on department/location, valid state driver's license and auto coverage eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens and ensure proper patient identification and labeling.
• Enter and verify demographics, tests requested, and specimen data in the system.
• Maintain quality by following procedures and documenting results accurately.
• Assist with billing-related tasks and cost-conscious practices in the department.
• Provide courteous communication with internal/external customers and adhere to HIPAA.
