Job summary

Parkland Health in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for night shift at the Main Hospital Bldg. You will support pharmacists with orders, labeling, and cashiering while maintaining records and inventory. A High School diploma or GED is required, and Texas State Board registration is preferred.

Prior health-system/pharmacy experience is a plus. You will need basic computer skills, pharmacy math and spelling proficiency, and the ability to learn new software and operate pharmacy

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current CPhT preferred with Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration.
• Experience in health-system pharmacy settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Operate cash register, enter charges, collect payments and provide change.
• Assist in cash handling, shift preparation and handover to manager.
• Maintain inventory records and pharmacy area cleanliness.
• Assist with prescription entry in ambulatory system when needed.
• Serve as resource for staff, patients, and visitors per policies.
• Maintain licensure and comply with regulations and program requirements.
