Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation and distribution across UCSF Health locations. The role emphasizes patient care, accurate drug distribution, and collaboration with clinical and research operations within the Department of Pharmaceutical Services.

The technician must hold a California Pharmacy Technician license, complete an approved training program, and be able to work at multiple UCSF sites as needed to meet operational demands.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized/accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program (includes hands‑on training during externship), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Min. two (2) years as Pharmacy Tech in hospitals or health care or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Flexibility to work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medications across UCSF Health locations.
• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients, including drug information services.
• Deliver specialized services to campus-based research operations within Pharmaceutical Services.
• Manage inventory, medication preparation, and distribution responsibilities.
