Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. in South Jordan, Utah is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in dispensing and patient care across locations. Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• BLS Certification as appropriate to practice site.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice and controlled substances.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing and patient care under supervision.
• Answer phones and provide excellent customer service.
• Collect clinical and patient information and maintain records as required by policy.
• Prepare medication orders and label medications accurately.
• Package and label medications to minimize waste while ensuring safety.
• Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and orderliness.
• Support quality and patient safety initiatives and escalate issues as needed.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.
