Job summary

Jefferson Health in Turnersville, New Jersey, seeks a full-time Pharmacy Technician for an evening shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Mon-Fri, no weekends/holidays). You will assist pharmacists by preparing orders, replenishing Pyxis machines, and handling dispensing processes per hospital policies.

Responsibilities include dosage preparation, inventory management, and maintaining accuracy in documentation and temperature logs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• RPT - Registered Pharmacy Technician - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire.
• New Jersey pharmacy technicians must obtain and maintain current registration from the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy within 180 days of hire.
• All new hires must achieve this certification within 12 months of hire, or provide evidence of successful completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Prepares drug orders from Physicians for review and dispensing by a Registered Pharmacist.
• Replenishes all Pyxis machines and monitors refrigerator temperatures; documents corrective actions.
• Counts, compounds and repackages pharmaceuticals using established procedures.
• Medication dispensing and distribution to patient areas; restock of pharmacy inventory and nursing units.
• Picks up Physician orders and assists Pharmacist; performs light housekeeping and maintains clean work areas.
