Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Pharmacist for a Part Time, 0.875 FTE, Night position. The role involves ensuring optimal use of medications, patient counseling, and collaboration with healthcare team to improve patient outcomes.

The position requires Oregon pharmacist licensure (or eligibility), strong clinical skills, and excellent customer service and communication abilities. Compensation includes a competitive benefits package and night-shift scheduling.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensed in Oregon or eligible for license.
• Demonstrated basic pharmacy clinical skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders for safety, accuracy, and formulary status.
• Clarify and rectify physician orders including IV/medication reconciliation.
• Interpret prescriptions for outpatient dispensing and select medications.
• Monitor patients on target drugs and initiate dosing protocols where appropriate.
• Evaluate drug therapy for appropriateness and provide clinician recommendations.
• Dispense medications and provide patient counseling.
• Detect and report adverse drug events and errors.
• Supervise technicians and interns; train staff as needed.
• Participate in development of drug protocols and quality assurance audits.
