Job summary

Northwest Healthcare in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Pharmacist for a full-time night shift (7 on / 7 off) to ensure safe dispensing, patient care, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

The Pharmacist will review orders, counsel patients and families on medication use, participate in safety initiatives, and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record to support optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
• 0-1 years hospital or retail pharmacy experience required.
• Registered Pharmacist license in state of employment required

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications in accordance with prescriptions and hospital protocols.
• Review orders and optimize therapy.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use and safety.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to resolve medication-related issues.
• Participate in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement programs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
