Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a PRN Nights Pharmacist to ensure safe medication use, accurate dispensing, and clinical support within our hospital setting.

You will review orders, counsel patients, collaborate with physicians and nurses, participate in safety and quality initiatives, and maintain thorough documentation in the electronic health record. Ongoing education and inventory management are also key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree required (PharmD) or equivalent.
• 0-1 years of hospital or retail pharmacy experience required.
• RPH - Registered Pharmacist active license in state of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications per prescription orders and protocols.
• Review orders and optimize therapy with team.
• Counsel patients on medication use and adherence.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to resolve issues.
• Participate in safety, quality improvement, and audits.
• Document clinical interventions in electronic health record.
• Maintain inventory and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Stay current with pharmacotherapy advances.
