Job summary

Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking an inpatient Pharmacist to join our care team in a 0.9 FTE role with 72 hours per pay period. Night rotation is required (7 on/7 off) and a sign-on bonus is available.

The Pharmacist will specialize in pharmaceutical care to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient drug use and will collaborate with clinicians to optimize patient outcomes. Strong clinical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Doctorate in pharmacy; Doctorate required for some specialties.
• Residency/fellowship in pharmacy practice desired but not required.
• One year experience in retail or hospital pharmacy preferred.
• Experience in a specialty area beneficial.
• APhA or PSW membership desired.

Responsibilities

• The Pharmacist acts as a specialist in pharmaceutical care with focus on safe, effective, and cost-efficient drug use.
• Provides drug information to healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Supports evidence-based medication decisions and patient education.

Job Description

The Pharmacist serves as a specialist in a selected area of pharmaceutical care with the goal being the safe, efficacious, and cost-effective use of drugs and information about drugs to achieve outcomes that improve patient quality of life.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's or Doctorate Degree in pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy, with a Doctorate required for some specialty areas of clinical practice as defined by specialty description.
• Completion of a residency and/or fellowship in pharmacy practice desired but not required.
• One year experience desired in retail or hospital pharmacy practice to enhance and develop skills.
• Unique experience in a specialty area of pharmacy practice beneficial.
• Membership in the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) or the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW) desired.
