Job summary

Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking an inpatient Pharmacist for a full-time 0.9 FTE role with a 7 on/7 off rotation across day, evening, and night shifts. The schedule includes 4 weeks of day/PM/night rotation followed by 4 weeks of day/PM shifts, with weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Doctorate Degree in pharmacy from an accredited school.
• Residency/fellowship in pharmacy practice is desirable but not required.
• One year experience in retail or hospital pharmacy is desirable.
• Specialty-area experience is beneficial.
• Membership in APhA or PSW is desirable.

Job Description:

The Pharmacist serves as a specialist in a selected area of pharmaceutical care with the goal being the safe, efficacious, and cost-effective use of drugs and information about drugs to achieve outcomes that improve patient quality of life.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's or Doctorate Degree in pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy, with a Doctorate required for some specialty areas of clinical practice as defined by specialty description.
• Completion of a residency and/or fellowship in pharmacy practice desired but not required.
• One year experience desired in retail or hospital pharmacy practice to enhance and develop skills.
• Unique experience in a specialty area of pharmacy practice beneficial.
• Membership in the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) or the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW) desired.
