Job summary

Banner Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Pre and Post Operative Care Unit nights at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, WY. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients in a high-acuity perioperative setting.

Working four 10-hour night shifts per week, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based care and timely discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in the clinical area for which they are applying is desired.
• Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental needs and discharge planning.
• Formulate, implement and revise plan of care with patient and family input.
• Coordinate and supervise nursing care, ensuring communication across the care team.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans with the team.
• Document care decisions and patient responses in the medical record.
• Participate in professional development and quality improvement activities.
