Job summary

Kent Nutrition Group in Columbus, NE is seeking a Pellet Mill Operator to run pellet mills safely and efficiently overnight, ensuring product quality and process accuracy. This hourly role includes maintaining logs, following SOPs, and collaborating with QA and maintenance teams.

• Good mechanical aptitude and mechanical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Understand feed manufacturing process and ingredient flow.
• Follow formulation requirements and QA testing per Quality Control.
• Identify quality issues and communicate to Quality Control foreman.
• Maintain accurate feed inventory and documentation.
• Operate and log pellet mill equipment; perform routine maintenance.
• Keep equipment clean and in good working condition; assist with repairs.
• Adhere to safety practices and OSHA standards; follow SOPs.
• Run multiple equipment pieces and assist with other mill duties as needed.
• Support production, maintenance, and housekeeping as directed by shift foreman.
• Other duties assigned by plant management.
