Job summary

AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, FL is seeking an experienced RN for a full-time night shift in a critical care setting. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, monitor responses, and educate patients and families.

The role requires an RN license, an associate degree (bachelor’s preferred), and strong teamwork skills. Knowledge of Cerner EMR and EPIC is a plus; experience in critical care is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• Cerner EMR knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessments and diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring safety and protocol adherence.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses; adjust care plans as needed to achieve outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Document care activities in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff to maintain high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment following infection control protocols.
• Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols.
