Job summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) reports to the Nurse Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the PCT performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes. Minimum requirements: Education: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Credentials: Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire. Thereafter, must maintain.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or GED required.
• BLS within 2 weeks of hire and maintained.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) or American Red Cross BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, perform multi-skilled activities to support patient care.
• Contribute to a decentralized, patient-centered approach to achieve outcomes.
