Job summary

Allied Universal in Bessemer, AL is seeking a Security Officer Alarm Systems Patrol Driver to safeguard clients across multiple industries. You will conduct routine and random patrols, monitor alarms and access points, and provide exceptional customer service while following the driver policy and site procedures.

This full-time driving role requires a valid license, a readiness to perform patrols at night, and the ability to prepare clear reports for site contacts and leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Age requirements: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and responding emergency personnel as needed.
