Job summary

Allied Universal in Bessemer, AL, is seeking a Security Officer Alarm Systems Patrol Driver. In this role you will serve clients across industries, conduct routine patrols, monitor access and alarms, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

This full-time night-shift post requires a valid driver's license and comfort using a computer or tablet; experience with alarm panels and X-ray screening is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Experience with alarm panels preferred.
• Experience with X-ray screening preferred.
• State/county/city-issued security license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and responding emergency personnel as needed.
