Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a dedicated Patient Sitter for RWJ Hamilton. This role focuses on patient safety, companionship, and non-medical support during night shifts within the Nursing Float Pool.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, and may have prior patient care experience. The position requires 36 hours per week with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or GED; BLS through American Heart Association.
• Preferred: Prior experience in patient care; Ability to communicate and collaborate with others; Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Sitter monitors and ensures patient safety, especially those at risk of injury or requiring constant supervision.
• Helps with non-medical needs and provides companionship to the patient.
