Job summary

Beacon Health System in Kalamazoo, MI is hiring a Patient Attendant for Beacon Kalamazoo on the night shift. This full-time position (0.90 FTE, 36 hours per week) requires staying at the bedside and providing basic patient monitoring under the supervision of an RN.

Responsibilities include calming patients, removing hazards, recording observations, and supporting care teams. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with BLS due within 1 month of hire, and AHA/Red Cross accepted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 1 month of hire or transfer date.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.

Responsibilities

• Remains at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Assists in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
• Removes visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and reports as appropriate.
• Records all observations.
