Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn seeks a Full-Time Night Patient Service Associate to support patient access, registrations, and insurance verification in a fast-paced setting. The role includes coordinating ED unit clerk functions, reviewing daily work, and facilitating admissions and billing processes with compassionate, patient-centered service.

The candidate will handle Medicaid eligibility, billing support, and provide information on hospital policies while upholding HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform registrations/admissions promptly and accurately.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with Medicaid/charity considerations.
• Coordinate daily workflow to ensure accounts are completed timely and accurately.
• Maintain HIPAA and hospital policies and procedures.
• Assist in ED and admitting office processes and documentation.
