Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital is seeking a Paramedic Transport professional for the Liberty Campus Emergency Department. This full-time night-shift role involves patient transport, direct patient care during transit, and strict adherence to EMS regulations and hospital policies.

Responsibilities include safe vehicle operation, documentation, effective team communication, and maintaining certifications. A valid driver’s license and relevant EMS credentials are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ohio Paramedic Certification; within 6 months, Kentucky Paramedic Certification.
• NREMT certification within 6 months of hire.
• ACLS within 3 months of hire.
• PALS within 3 months of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider within 6 months of hire.
• Trauma certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Patient Transport: perform skills per Transport Team policy and Ohio EMS scope; operate emergency vehicles legally; maintain records and compliance; lift up to 400 lbs.
• Patient Care: provide appropriate patient care during transport and report to receiving facility staff.
• Safety: ensure a safe environment for patients, families, and crew; abide by safety requirements in moving vehicles.
• Communication: maintain open, timely communication with health care team and document observations; protect confidentiality.
• Confidentiality: safeguard patient and family information at all times.
