Job summary

Banner Health Emergency Services in Buckeye, Arizona is recruiting experienced paramedics for a part-time night shift at a new freestanding ED opening in November 2026. The position offers weekend and night shift differentials and partners with Banner Estrella Medical Center to ensure continuity of care.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in emergency care, current Paramedic certification, and required BLS/ACLS (PALS if ED or pediatric).

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid Paramedic certification or license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification is required.
• PALS is required if working in the Emergency Department or with Pediatric population.
• Moderate experience typically gained through 2-4 years relevant work experience OR 12-18 months in an educational program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate acuity level and match patient care needs to resources.
• Perform basic patient care within scope: positioning, phlebotomy, ECGs, spinal precautions.
• Administer or monitor medications as ordered by a physician.
• Start IV access and manage fluids per physician order.
• Perform cardiovascular monitoring and airway management.
• Participate in resuscitation of critical patients and document progress.
