Banner Health is hiring an Emergency Department Paramedic for Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center in Sun City West, AZ.

The role provides high‑quality emergency care in a fast‑paced environment, with responsibilities spanning assessment, initiation of care, and coordination with a multi-disciplinary team. The position requires active Paramedic certification, BLS, ACLS, and PALS when applicable, with a Mid shift schedule (10am-10:30pm) and rotating holidays/weekends.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid Paramedic certification or license within the state of practice and maintenance thereafter.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification is required.
• PALS is required if working in the Emergency Department or with Pediatric population.
• Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on specialty of practice.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate acuity level of patients and match care needs to resources.
• Perform basic patient care within scope: positioning, transport, phlebotomy, ECGs, spinal precautions.
• Perform cardiovascular monitoring and management.
• Manage airways per guidelines including oxygen, suctioning, ventilation support and monitoring.
• Participate in resuscitation of critical patients and monitor during treatment.
• Document assessments and patient progress accurately.
• Notify charge or primary nurse of status changes and alert physician as needed.
• Interact with staff, physicians, patients, families and external contacts to coordinate care.
• Adhere to unit guidelines and ensure appropriate documentation and discharge planning.
