Job summary

Veritas Veterinary Partners in Las Vegas is seeking a compassionate PACU Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our surgical care team. In this role you will monitor patients during post-anesthesia recovery, ensure comfort and safety, and work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to deliver exceptional recovery care.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential.
• 2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician; specialty or emergency hospital experience preferred.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and post-anesthetic patient care.
• Strong understanding of patient monitoring equipment, pain management, and nursing care.
• Collaborative, reliable, organized, and committed to delivering high-level patient care.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients during post-operative and post-anesthetic recovery.
• Assess and document vital parameters, pain scores, and patient status.
• Recognize and communicate changes in patient condition to the veterinary team.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by attending veterinarians.
• Assist with pain management, warming, positioning, and comfort measures.
• Maintain IV catheters, fluid therapy, and post-operative nursing care.
• Accurately maintain medical records and treatment sheets.
• Assist with patient transfers and support emergency situations as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized PACU and surgical recovery area.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and assistants to ensure exceptional patient care.
• Provide compassionate patient care and professional communication with pet families when appropriate.

Job Description

What You Will Bring

Schedule

We are currently hiring for two positions:

• Friday through Sunday | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Monday through Thursday | 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience
• $4.00 per hour overnight differential for eligible overnight shifts
