Job summary

Cipla USA is seeking a Packaging Operator I for the MDI line on the 3rd shift in Fall River, MA. This role focuses on safe, compliant packaging of products, with responsibilities spanning machine operation, changeovers, line clearance, and strict record-keeping.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or higher, basic mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with cGMP and OSHA guidelines, plus the ability to work as part of a team in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Accredited college certificate or university degree is preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in packaging operations preferred.
• Proficient in the English language (Speaking/Reading/Writing) to understand work instructions and document results.
• Knowledge of fundamental cGMP and regulatory requirements in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Basic understanding of mechanical machinery and the operating principles of control systems.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to work in both independent and team environments.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, including OSHA.
• Strong mathematical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Understanding basics of mechanical machinery and principles of control systems.
• Operate pharmaceutical packaging equipment with minimum rejection and maximum output.
• Clean machines and area during changeovers.
• Perform operations and preventative maintenance of machines.
• Identify and assist in corrective actions of packaging issues.
• Correct labeling and maintain records.
• Ensure calibrations and line clearance before packaging.
• Wear PPE and work safely either independently or in a team.
• Complete tasks accurately and on time, following SOPs and cGMPs.
