Job Summary

Packaging Operator – Fall River, MA – Third Shift (11:00PM–07:30AM). Salary: $19.00–$27.00 per hour.

Purpose

Assist in packaging manufactured metered dose inhalation (MDI) products, ensuring compliance with cGMP, standard operating procedures, and customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate pharmaceutical packaging equipment with minimal rejection and maximum output while maintaining quality standards.
  • Clean machines and areas for batch‑to‑batch and product‑to‑product changeovers.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance of machines.
  • Identify and assist in corrective actions for packaging‑related issues.
  • Correct status labeling at all stages of the packing line with signature.
  • Ensure appropriate equipment calibrations are performed and records are maintained.
  • Ensure line clearance before initiating packaging activities in each area.
  • Wear appropriate PPE as specified in the SOP before initiating the process.
  • Work individually and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Execute procedures to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Complete documents on time, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Adhere to all cGMPs, compliance/regulatory mandates, and quality requirements.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Use equipment safely according to Health & Safety procedures and Equipment Manuals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain 100% cGMP & compliance during complete operation hours.
  • Report issues to the department head or manager.
  • Perform daily equipment and machinery maintenance.
  • Maintain discipline in the department.
  • Assist in training other employees as needed.
  • Flexibly work extended hours to meet manufacturing schedules when required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Accredited college certificate or university degree (preferred).
  • Minimum of one year experience in packaging operations (preferred).
  • Proficient in spoken, reading, and writing English.
  • Knowledge of fundamental cGMP and regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical manufacturing (highly preferred).
  • Basic understanding of mechanical machinery and control systems.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in team environments.
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, including OSHA.
  • Strong mathematical and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to:

  • Lift/bend frequently, exert up to 5pounds continuously or 25pounds occasionally and up to 50pounds rarely.
  • Use a hand truck for lifts, carries, push or pull of objects.
  • Wear appropriate PPE, including respiratory devices such as APR, SRR, or SAR as required.
