Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Package Handler to load, unload, and sort freight accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery.

Typical hours are Monday–Friday with overtime and a wage of $18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience, plus shift differential. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and work on their feet for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Efficient time management skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to read labels quickly and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and sort freight accurately and promptly.
• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles.
• Scan barcode labels for tracking.
• Sort packages by ZIP code, city or state.
• Stack freight to maximize space and prevent damage.
• Wash fleet vehicles as needed and perform light custodial duties.
