Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Package Handler to load, unload, and sort freight accurately and efficiently to support daily deliveries.

This role starts at 3:30 PM on Monday through Friday with expected overtime; pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour plus shift differential, based on experience.

Candidates must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent if possible, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state
• Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed
• Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
