Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC is seeking an energetic Operations Supervisor to lead a team of 88 Class A drivers at a Grand Prairie, TX site. This role directs daily tasks, scheduling, and customer service to meet cost objectives and service levels.

You will supervise transportation operations, coaching staff, manage performance, and participate in hiring and meetings with customers as needed. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with associates and customers.
• Must have ability to work efficiently and independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written/oral communication skills and the ability to actively listen are required.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to hourly staff to ensure execution of daily tasks and customer service operations.
• Supervise drivers, loading/unloading of trailers, and dispatch with proper documentation.
• Conduct team meetings and provide coaching and counseling to associates.
• Evaluate methods to increase dispatch productivity and assist in training new associates.
• Manage attendance, performance standards, and corrective actions up to written warnings.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulatory requirements at the site.
