Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Assistant for Nights in the Oncology Medical Surgical Unit. The role supports licensed staff and delivers delegated patient activities according to the plan of care.

This position is based at Werner Cancer Hospital Med-Surg Oncology, a 36-bed unit serving a wide range of oncology patients with a 1:4 or 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio. Evening/night shift, full or part time.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years.
• CNA certification in Nebraska required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire (AHA-endorsed).

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel.
• Support nursing care and patient safety on the Oncology Med‑Surg unit.
• Assist with routine tasks to maintain patient care plans.
