Job summary

Nebraska Medicine in Omaha is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Oncology ICU at Werner Cancer Hospital ICU. This 12-bed unit serves adult surgical, oncology and palliative care patients receiving chemotherapy.

The RN will provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health care providers to meet holistic care needs of a designated group of patients. Night shift, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required unless exceptional circumstances.
• Effective communication skills are required.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility is required.
• Current Nebraska RN license or compact state license required.
• BLS certification required.
• PALS certification department dependent required.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire or transfer date.
• TNCC or ATCN within one year of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for designated patients.
• Coordinate care with other health care providers to meet holistic needs.
• Care environment may be long-term, emergent, critical, or procedural-driven.
