Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor for the Observation unit. The role provides administrative oversight, collaborates with the unit Director/Manager, and leads departmental planning, training, and performance improvement initiatives.

Shifts are Full Time Nights; location Olympia Fields, IL. Responsibilities include ensuring efficient department operations, supervising staff, and providing direct patient care as needed within scope.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS and ACLS on hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
• CCRN certificate preferred for Intensive Care.
• NRP required 90 days after hire and maintained.
• Professional Certification within 2 years of hire, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports administrative responsibility for department service functions and collaborates with the unit Director/Manager.
• Develops and implements departmental plans including performance improvement and regulatory compliance.
• Oversees orientation and training of personnel; communicates with staff, physicians and administration.
• Responsible for quality of staff and functions during the shift; directs, supervises and evaluates personnel.
• Performs direct patient care as needed within scope of practice and updates care plans as required.
