Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital seeks a Clinical Nursing Supervisor to provide administrative leadership for nursing units, coordinating with the Director and/or Manager. The role develops departmental plans, oversees staff orientation, and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations while maintaining high-quality patient care.

Key requirements include a current RN license, BSN preferred, BLS and ACLS upon hire, and at least two years of clinical nursing experience with supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS and ACLS required upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports administrative responsibility for department service functions and collaborates with the unit Director/Manager.
• Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement and compliance with regulations.
• Oversees orientation and training of personnel; communicates with staff, physicians, and administration.
• Directs, supervises and evaluates personnel during shifts to ensure efficient department operations.
• Performs direct patient care as needed within scope of practice and directs care adjustments as required.
