The VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the night shift at the West Los Angeles Community Living Center 213-2 to support licensed staff in delivering preventive, acute, sub-acute, chronic, maintenance, and hospice care for Veterans with complex needs.

This role emphasizes bedside care, vital signs, basic wound care, and patient safety, with opportunities for growth from GS-3 to GS-5, and access to comprehensive federal benefits and paid time off.

Formación

• One year above high school with courses related to Nursing Assistant is required.
• Completion of an intensive, occupation-related course of study may meet requirements.
• English language proficiency in speaking and writing is required.
• Demonstrated KSAs: ability to assist in full range of nursing care and communicate with patients and team.

Responsabilidades

• Provide basic and intermediate nursing care under RN/LVN direction.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient mobility.
• Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to supervising staff.
• Perform basic patient measurements and assist with procedures under supervision.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and care coordination.
